half way there to the spring air
This semester is more than half over and I can't believe it. I'm so excited for the spring to settle in all the way. This week has had some sunny weather mixed in with some cloudy, dark, rainy weather. I get so excited whenever it gets a little warmer and sunnier. I love the spring and summer time here in Utah! I'm stoked for the end of this semester and the rest of the year. My plan is to stay and work here and work to save up some money and get ready for graduate school. My goal is to have my applications in before school starts back up. That means I need to take the GRE--shoot! Life goes on I suppose.

Thus far, so good
This year has been good so far. Still working at the MTC and studying psychology. Work and classes are way sweet. Though school is a butt load of busy work, my personality and abnormal psych classes are sweet. Right now I'm learning a ton about the implications for the way that we think and theorize in the different fields of psychology. For example: a lot of psychologists believe that past experience determines our present behaviors or the way that we interpret the world around us. Well, if we assume that's true, then there isn't much hope for agency or the ability to choose our own actions. Some believe it's a complex formula of several cause --> effect chains which have caused us to act, think, feel, and behave in the ways we do. Crazy stuff.
Anyway, currently single, so don't ask. Still enjoying life and doing what I do. Been working for quite some time on a solo album. It will probably be a long long while before I get anywhere near done with enough songs that I want to record. But i've written some good parts to a few songs as of late that are in the making. I've been working on writing some stuff on the piano too.
As this year continues, I'm stoked to see what's in store. I really believe that the best is yet to come. Despite the hardships that I'm currently facing and will face, I have a lot of hope. So far, so good. It will keep getting better.

Christmas Party
We had an ugly sweater contest, so my roommate John and I decided we'd make the sweaters ourselves.
If you can't tell, that's David Archuleto in the photo with me and Hillary Duff in the picture with John. These sweaters pretty much said it all. The best part was for the white elephant gift we bought dollar frames and printed off the same pics and put them in the frame. Some people were very lucky that night.

Bloggin
So, I haven't used blogging basically since I set this up initially. So, I'm going to try and start this thing again a little more consistently . . . maybe I'll have some motivation to do this if I get some people to follow my blog, haha. I realized I have NO ONE following this thang... so to those of you who are new to my blog disregard the lack of much blogging :)
Anywho... this fall has been awesome! This last year has been quite the epic adventure and I've learned a million and one things. I'm so grateful for family, friends, and people who have been there for me to lean on, learn from, and laugh with. I'm truly grateful for the new moments and experiences i've had with many people.

This Fall
BEAUTIFUL
Humor
My favorite type of humor is wit and quick cracks. I think it takes a lot more to be witty and think of funny things to say that aren't provocative, inappropriate, or simply lame. The best comedians are those who can take anything and make it funny without degrading themselves through the use of poor language, descriptions, or ill jokes.
Lately I have heard a lot of humor that is just stupid. Almost all comedians online or television try to use really lame methods to produce some response from their audience. Even among people my age, it's really pathetic when people try to be funny by stooping to levels of middle school-aged humor. Some people's kids!
So, to all of those who try to be humorous with more intelligent methods, I applaud you!

Mom, Dad and I to Las Vegas
Before returning to school at BYU - UT, I was able to make a trip to Vegas with my parents. They wanted to go with me to meet the people I taught on my mission in Las Vegas and to see the mission where I served. It was a blast! We had a great time and I was so happy to see so many great people I had met on the mission.
